International Classical Music Awards

The International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) are music awards first awarded April 6, 2011 which replace the Cannes Classical Awards formerly awarded at MIDEM 2010. The jury still consists of music critics of magazines Crescendo, Fono Forum, Gramofon, Pizzicato, Musica, Scherzo, Musik & Theater, with radio stations MDR-Figaro (Germany), Orpheus Radio (Russia 99.2FM),[1] the Internationales Musik And Medienzentrum (IMZ),[2] Vienna, and websites Resmusica.com (France) and internet radio Viva Classica (Finland).[3]

The first award ceremony took place Tampere, Finland on April 6.

The Jury announced the winners for 2011 in 20 categories from a nomination list comprising over 500 CD and DVD productions.
